Daljeet Singh
Mental Health Clinician providing Psychotherapy and Clinical Counseling services
M.D., M.P.H., AMFT, APCC
I am a healthcare professional with a passion for helping people achieve their wellness goals. I use a collaborative technique and believe that each client has the potential to achieve their goals and find their own path with guidance and support. I provide this support in a safe therapeutic environment by using different modalities of psychotherapy, and by sharing feedback, psychoeducation, and resources.
I understand that exploring feelings and experiences can be emotionally uncomfortable or painful, so I use my clinical skills and knowledge to minimize this process and assist in the desired change. I work with children, teens, adults and couples from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. I tailor my approach based on individual, unique needs, and circumstances.
My qualifications include an MD from India, a Master's in Public Health with a major in Public Health Practice, a Master's as a Mental Health Clinician with dual emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling, and being an Adjunct Professor teaching clinical and basic health sciences to Physician Assistants, Pre-med, and Pre-nursing students.
Besides my clinical experience both in India and the USA, I have worked in leadership roles as a clinic director and consultant with various non-profit organizations. These experiences inspired my interest in mastering the science and art of medicine related to behavioral health and the psychology behind it.
My passion as a mental health clinician aligns with the motto at my medical school, “Mens sana in corpore sano”, which means to be healthy is to have a healthy mind in a healthy body. This essential part of mental and psychological well-being is often neglected and many times the early signs of need are ignored. I hope to play a role in reducing this gap and help my patients take a step closer towards a better mental health.
